The German metal legion Primal Fear deliver their 11th studio album "Rulebreaker" and they do play it safe because this album feels like another day at work.
Same old story and dance here, no surprises except the bombastic "We walk without fear" which is this album´s finest moment.
Now to a question:
What do Primal Fear and Iron Maiden have in common more than they´re both heavy metal bands? Well both bands have 3 guitarplayers. This German band features Magnus Karlsson, Alex Beyrodt and long time member Tom Naumann on guitars. I´m not sure that makes them more metal but it´s cool.
The leaders of this flagship are still frontman Ralf Scheepers and bassist Mat Sinner, they recruited new drummer Fransesco Jovino for the job. He´s a hard hitter and fits in just right but I feel the band needs a bigger change than just a new drummer be exciting again.
Highlights : We walk without fear
Recommended if you like Judas Priest, Malice, Hollow Haze
