Review : Angels and Airwaves - Chasing Shadows

Angels and Airwaves - Chasing shadows (2016) To The Stars Records
Produced by Tom DeLonge
Tracks : 1.Overload 2.Artillery 3.Voyager 4.Chasing shadows
4 out of 5

So it´s finally settled then, Blink 182 will move on without Tom DeLonge with Matt Skiba stepping in to fill his shoes. So I guess, the next B182 album will sound like +44 meets Alkaline Trio. We will know later this year.
There is no need to be concerned about DeLonge´s doings, he has been releasing records for 10 years now with his own band Angels and Airwaves. He is all alright.
DeLonge and his partner in crime, Ilan Rubin (The New Regime) make a great team and has done well together since 2011 even though I thought their latest full length "The Dream Walker" was their weakest effort so far.
That doesn´t mean it´s bad, it so happens that all their others albums have been so extremely good that expectations are always at the peak of K2 whenever AVA puts something new out.
Such as their new EP "Chasing shadows", it should have a sign saying SAFE BUY because DeLonge is back on the writing board making music just as great as "We don´t need to whisper" or "I-empire".
Highlights : Overload, Chasing shadows
Recommended if you like Blink 182, When They Wake, Hollywood Heroes
