Album Spotlight : Heartaches - Svart

Deemed ‘Top 100 bands to watch out for in 2016,’ Heartaches (For fans of Sworn in, Upon a Burning Body, The Plot in You) is an emo/hardcore band from Hesingborg, Sweden. The members have influences from many different genres, which inspires them to write with the purpose to really get into people’s hearts and make them feel the emotions in their music.
Heartaches began with the vocalist Casper Frisk and guitarist Tom Mahler creating the song “Memorial’ for Casper’s dad who passed away due to Cancer. The songwriting process continued and they soon released their first EP, I Loved I Hated. After a few lineup changes, the band is complete with guitarist Jimmy Fransen, Bassist Theofil Tokatlidis, and Drummer Adrian Bellan.
Since 2014, the band has shared the stage with Imminence, Brighthaven, Redal Demise and has been featured on Revolver, Kerrang!, and AP Magazine.
Heartaches recently announced their signing with Artery Recordings and released a music video for their new single ‘Deathlist’ featuring Tyler Shelton of Traitors (Prosthetic Records) for fans to enjoy.
The band comments: “Svart have a much deeper meaning and the lyrics are more personal than the old EP. We have also changed our music to a more aggressive sound and more emotional at the same time. You can expect a whole other level from us with this new EP. This is a new beginning of something great.”

SVART is out August 12th on Artery Recordings.
